Some backround: This was our 2nd attempt, our first attempt we were removed from BC due to time out @ 1-3%(there is a little bit of debate as to what the % was exactly). We didnt keep track of time and should have...

Keep in mind there are no relics involved and 4 of us arent even playing our main jobs(although I am). The FRAPS made me a bit laggy making things more difficult but still went fairly smoothly in general. For those of you who dont want to watch through the video setup is: RDM/NIN RDM/WHM SCH/RDM BRD/WHM RNG/NIN RNG/NIN

Short version is just for entertainments purposes(still includes takeoff to forceland), the other one is the complete fight from start to finish. It took us about 21 minutes which isnt too shabby, hoping to cut some time(and maybe some people) out of this in the future.

I anticipate the question... what is dilligaf. Its my social LS, mainly the core members from my old HNMls.

Just to derail the thread. I was @ your LS website. Ya'll have a lot of Relics and so fear Novio Earrings. I'm curious is there much competition on your server? 150 Cerb and 81 Algols. Lol.

Vagus, they are notorious cheaters, with multiple members on the ffxi-app user list. In fact, they were driven from Diabolos because their ffxi-app accounts were threatened by the owner who also plays on our server. What is gained by cheating doesn't mean much, on any server, in any video game, or any other game/competition for that matter.

Fire resist gear... not necesary. If he flies more than 2 minutes you lose. nin/drk is doable with a 6man setup, however if you want to drop it to 5 or 4, it wont be done. Keep in mind the RNG will tank the first 30% anyway.

Do you mean you lose with a 6 man setup or just in general if its in the air for 2 minutes? Because wyrm can be held in the air kinda all day.

Anyone tried it with a NIN/DRK or PLD/NIN tank with fire resist gear instead of a RDM/NIN?

I did just recently for the first time on nin/drk. I haven't maxed my fire resist set yet but it was doing well. Most attacks were doing about 25-50 dmg. I would save Souleater/Last Resort for when you SC/MB to make him fly so you keep hate on you. Our PLD/NIN did not have fire resist set so he just let me tank it the whole time in the air. Also if you get terrorized right before he is going to fly, try to hold off the SC/MB to rebuild hate, just makes things go smoother imo.
