BC, continued(?).

I only post this here because I don't believe the previous thread regarding Mizzrym has done him justice. That, and the fact that the topic was locked while I was typing this up. Mizzrym is a dear friend of mine, and I also believe that some of the opinions posted in the last thread need proper justice done to them. Plus I didn't find any rule about continuing locked threads <_<. Feel free to delete/move/ban as you see fit if I am incorrect.

He's Spanish; and English is not his primary language, so I give him tons of credit for standing up to you assholes, or at least attempting to. And finally, on every occasion that I have interacted with Mizzrym, I have seen nothing more than excellence in playing each and every job he has, with perfect execution of everything required of him. Overall, he is a very good player in my opinion and should be given much more credit than what has been given to him.

Besides, if you're from SFLS, just like your sig says, then I think he would feel right at home if you know what i mean

English isn't his first language, and as such he can't express himself clearly?

Language barrier might be a problem at times, but I refuse to believe four pages of lolworthy fail comes from a language problem, but rather an attitude problem. Friend of yours, maybe, but that doesn't change the fact that they obviously left a bad first impression on a lot of people, and then he chose to come onto BG and "defend" himself with insults. This forum is a perfect example on how attitude and reputation can indeed negatively affect your gameplay.

PS. My first language isn't English either, yet seems my own background check a couple months back didn't cause any similar commotion.

gotta say, this was a pretty good reply.

it's true, the thread did derail somewhat, but from what i saw it was only after mizzrym came back and tried to defend himself and talk himself up.

sure, there were some bad opinions, but if that's all people remember of him, why would they post warm fuzzy stories of a guy they've had bad experiences with?

What gives you the right to speak down to those about which you know nothing of? You've most likely never interacted with a member of the LS on a personal level and probably haven't even formed your own opinion of those in the LS, you just jump on the bandwagon with everyone else. Not everyone in the LS is as bad as you make them seem, and if it were up to me I'd have to say most of the LS is made up of wonderfully warm and kind-hearted people(minus xswift, lol). But in order to know that you'd probably have to be on the server, or have spoken to someone from the LS somewhat beyond a 15-second skim of a post on BG.

Maybe he wouldn't have to come on here to try to come on here to defend himself with insults if people like Lylia would stop attacking his personality, or perhaps never started insulting him in the first place.

This is a background check forum. Where people post their experiences and opinions about people, so that the linkshell leaders and officers that post the initial topic can get a rough picture of what their applicant is like. I don't know Lylia, but if they posted that your friend was an ass, then that was probably the impression he'd given them. That does not mean coming onto BG and proving Lylia's point was a smart idea. If he'd really wanted to defend himself, he could have spoken to the linkshell leader/officer performing the check, saying, "Hey, I know this and this person said so and so about me, but what really happened was..." and then elaborated on the story that could have left others with an unfavorable impression of him. If it was truly a situation where your friend was treated unfairly, any good leader would recognize this. Instead, he reacted harshly. Immediately screaming that everyone else is inferior to him, is not only stupid in the circumstances, but it's also insulting to everyone who didn't attack his personality.

I don't see why you would bother trying to keep the debate regarding your friend active, when clearly everyone here has been left with an extremely negative impression? To me, that just makes you both look like idiots.

If you are going to site the fact that we have made public our use of some extraordinary methods to get things done, can the same thing not be said about every other LS on the server?

I don't want to flame or anything, some of the old people in SFLS helped me alot when i was there, and i'm grateful for that. But that doesn't deny the fact that SF have absolutely no problem with RMT'ed accounts, and gilbuyers regardless of their skills. and thats what im trying to point out, because the last BC mentioned clearly that he RMTs and has horrible skills (I dont know).

I understand, but to my knowledge, the LS doesn't have anyone who lacks skill in this game. Also, I've recently interacted with Mizzrym more than anyone else who has posted here and I can confirm that either he has taken a turn for the best or he just never sucked at all. He is a very skilled player.

This is a background check forum. There is nothing hidden about this. Opinions are like assholes, everyone has them. If these people don't think highly of you, coming here to flame them for their opinion only serves to defame you further. Granted, they weren't very polite about offering those opinions, but nothing says they have to be. You can't take umbrage to their opinion without being an asshole. You can take offense to how they offer it. Perhaps you're arguing the wrong point. The only problem with that is, this isn't the "arguing about manners forum". I think at this point I would tend to agree with the rougher estimations of your personal character.

If this guy acted like a jerk to people and represented himself in game anything like he acted here, he's a douche.

1.He admitted to buying gil? = Douche.
2. He leveled some other jobs too. Who gives a shit? RMT x 1 job still = Douche.
3. He responds to any arguement with "My gear is leet." = Double Douche since he is RMT. Additionally, he's a fucking retard since responding with such an illogical argument makes zero sense.
4. I don't care if he speaks fucking Plutonian, his e-thuggery threats and "you have been warned" = Douche.
5. This thread proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that no matter what a person says or does, there will always be morons out there to take their part. (See OP and George W. Bush.) - Flame on bitches.

Let him fucking respond. I don't care if he has all jobs to 75 and the best gear available for each and can kick my ass in ballista. He's still a windbag douche.

Anyone that looks at that previous BC thread and can honestly say that he appeared to be worth any linkshell's time is fucking lost.
