All you need is FFXI Atlas, FFXI-Wiki, and a Reraise Hairpin or two for safekeeping. Agreed! My second character had all of his Runic portals before level 50. The only one that sucks is Ilrusi Atoll, and I still managed to get there without death.

Remember back when it took a party or more (to be safe) and a great map to get to Dvucca Island Staging Point? It doesn't anymore, run through the ruins and avoid one Imp, that's all you have to do now. People who don't have 6/6 should be flogged.

HEY! i still like moocow fighting! it makes me happy every time they zerk and explode in a giant pool of splateryness. plus, with it so rarely used for xp, you can just casually pull forever. no fighting for mobs.

You can't warp to the PT? Then it's a good thing you're not in the PT *kick*.

Seriously. I did one of the Reef ones as a trio, then used it to warp there and get to the other, dancing around the imps and all. If you're scared, use a L1 job and deal with the occasional setback.

Wtf, that one's easy as hell to get to safely (i.e. No True Sight mobs on the way). I just took a friend there the other day so he could get it.

Shoulda just went to the camp with 5 til a 6th popped.

I just left a party where I had to wait 15 minutes on a ninja, only to find out then another member doesn't have the mamool staging point. So they say we'll do nyzul mamool, but the ninja doesn't have enough IS for a portal pass. How terrible that i did not get the joy of a party with no bard, 2 74s, and a 73.

It annoys me even more when people are shouting for help with easily soloable blue magic.
