I loved how the game faked you out in that fight, where you got his weapons and started using them, and then he came out of Styx and started attacking you again, lol.

Yeah I thought that was fucking awesome. Really well done boss fight, the weapons are pretty awesome too. Wait till later on, there are some really cool bosses and characters to check out. Also, lol at how retarded Hephaestus looked. The scale of the game is really amazing and beautiful.

I can explain the story in 30 seconds but 1 and 2 are really worth playing because the gameplay is amazing. The original is somewhat meh though, the hydra fight at the beginning is the best one of the game so it's kind of top-heavy. I thought GOW2 was too short but it definitely improves; 3 so far is already top 5 all-time for me.

Well GOW 2 was 10-12 hours long, a little short yeah, but it was fuck awesome.

But man the shit they pull off in 3 is just amazing.

Define "pretty," because the first boss you fight (literally 2 minutes into starting the game) is a giant water horse commanded by Poseidon that you fight on top of a Titan's arm, and you rip off its mandible.

Everything in GOW 3 is done from the in game engine and it looks amazing. From the fights, to the way he takes blood onto his body.

I don't give a shit about the story. I know how 3 ends already anyway. Gameplay doesn't seem as good as DMC so I've never bothered with the series aside from the PSP one since I could just pirate that when I was bored one day, but I ended up really enjoying it. I'll just wait for the price to drop, I am not rolling in money at the moment and I am much too lazy to get a job.
