    What I am understanding from what I have read is just... odd.

    Ventus was Master Xehanort's apprentice at some point and he was all darkness this and darkness that and tries to do some kinda experiments and shit w/ Ventus but lil' ol' Ven couldn't handle it so he extracts the darkness from Ventus's heart to mess around with, I guess.

    At this point Ventus's heart is incomplete and SOMEHOW (idk how the fuck this shit works) he connects his heart with Sora's and apparently some of that influence still bled into good ol' Vanitas (who was created from the darkness of Ventus's heart). Some shit happens and Ventus and Vanitas fuse and Aqua kicks the fusion's ass and Ven connects his shit with Sora again and goes to sleep. (I guess this is the 'birth' of our current Sora and probably the reason it's called Birth by Sleep)

    KH 1 made me cry so much.

    It started off all nice and happy and joyful on the little island and then the darkness came and all throughout the game I fought so hard to make everything right again but everything and everyone you ever knew and loved just gets taken away.

    I just wanted to be happy again...
